Subclass - 482 Subsequent Entrant visa

This visa allows family members of a primary visa holder (subclass 482) to join them in Australia. Eligible family members can include your partner and dependent children.

You can live and work in Australia while being dependent on the primary visa holder who holds a subclass 482 visa.
Health and Character Requirements
As a subsequent entrant, you must meet health and character requirements. This will be assessed during your visa application process.
Subclass 482 - Subsequent Entrant
Open to any nationality, provided you are a member of the family unit of an approved primary Skills in Demand (subclass 482) visa holder.
There is no age requirement for subsequent entrant applicants.
You may apply inside or outside Australia, but not while you are in immigration clearance.
There is no study requirement for subsequent entrants. Any study undertaken does not affect eligibility.
No qualification requirement applies to family members applying as subsequent entrants.
If applying in Australia, you must hold a substantive visa or an eligible Bridging Visa A, B, or C that permits valid lodgement
Not required for subsequent entrants, as the nomination and skills assessment relate to the primary visa holder.
English requirements apply only where required by the Department of Home Affairs, depending on age and relationship to the primary applicant.
You must have adequate health insurance arrangements for your stay in Australia.
You may be required to provide Australian Federal Police (AFP) and/or overseas police certificates as part of character assessment
All applicants must meet Australian health requirements, including medical examinations if requested.
Applicants who are subject to Section 48 are barred from applying onshore unless an exemption applies.
